Gamer

One thing you can always count on as a parent, if you are doing something then your kids want to do it.
Here is Maggie taking her turn at playing "Daddies" game. She was pretty good. I taught her how to walk and how to push the fight button. Needless to say she was able to level my character up a bit so that's good. (David in case you can't tell it's Final Fantasy VII).

Cool Grandpa

Nothing in this world quite compares with having a cool grandpa, except maybe a cool grandma. So what does a cool grandpa do when you come to spend the night and your parents forget to put your superhero costume in your bag? Well, you make a new costume of course.
You can't save the day without a costume to protect your secret identity.
Of course if grandpa makes a costume for one, then he has to make one for the other.
The final product, Iron Man and a ghost.

Rene'

Rene' is doing well. She is still working at UVU in the Financial aid department. She enjoys her job but is excited to be able to stay home soon (when I graduate and get a job). For her birthday we went to Disneyland (her favorite place on earth). In October she joined a community orchestra playing the french horn. This has been a lot of fun and has given her an opportunity to play again.

Long time no see

So hello everybody. I realize it has been a very long time since I updated. Sorry but life has been crazy. In an effort to finish school I have been taking an overload of classes.

So in an effort to improve my blogging I have gotten the blogger app for my phone. In the next week I plan on updating about each member of my family. I will also try to put some pictures on my portfolio site.

Sorrow

Yesterday a well know fact was proven false. As everybody knows Superman is able to hide his identity by wearing glasses (Which is completely believable). Well while watching Superman yesterday with my son Ethan he was asking the normal questions a three year old asks (Who is that? What is that? What are they doing?). I explained that he was Clark Kent and he was a reporter (He had not shown up as Superman yet). Well when Superman finally showed up Ethan jumped up excited looked at me and said "Look Clark is flying". I was crushed. All this time I thought his disguise was full proof just to have a three year old shatter the belief that a pair a glasses and acting shy could disguise the greatest hero on earth.

Finally

So I am finally updating my blog. I think it is only appropriate to do it when we have finally gotten some snow. This winter we have had some dusting but nothing that would stay on the ground. So we finally got a good snowfall in FEBRUARY. I of course had to drag the whole family out to play with me. It was a lot of fun.

The snow was perfect for making snowmen.

Sadly all the snow was gone the next day except for our snowmen.

Birthday

Before I get to the birthday I wanted to show a picture of Maggie and how she sits. If she can not get her leg out then she gets very upset. But if you giver her room to move then this is what you end up with.
Her cake provided by Grandma and Grandpa Barlow.(Because I was to lazy to make one that day)
She just blew out the candles. (with my help) and she is really happy. When we first gave her a piece of cake she had no idea what to do with it. She figured it out pretty fast.
She not only figured how to eat she figured out how to make a mess with it and still be cute.
She really enjoyed her cake.

Sunday Activitys

So I don't have any pictures but I thought that I would share what we did this Sunday. I don't know about all of you but I find it hard sometimes to think of things to do on Sunday's with my kids. Well I don't know if it is appropriate but today Ethan, Maggie, and I ambushed Rene' with snowballs. That's right Snowballs. They are not real snowballs they are just soft fluffy white things that you can throw as hard as you want and they don't hurt. Anyway while Rene was talking on the phone to her mom the three of us decided to attack. It worked really well, I would throw them and Ethan would fetch them, with Maggie in the background sucking on them. (to make them seem more life like.) It continued to work until Rene' finished her telephone call and then the war was on.
With each of us hiding beside our side of the bed, we attacked each other with no mercy. The battle raged on between us and helping to keep things even was Ethan, allying with who ever had the most snowballs. In the end we decided that the winner depended on how you look at it. If you look at who got hit the least then Maggie was the winner. If you look at who was on the winning side the longest it was Ethan. Either way all we know is that Rene' and I didn't win. But we sure had fun.
