Part 7 (Associates Degree)

For the last 4 years I have been fighting Snow College over a fine of $11.00. I had paid the fine 3 times and they kept charging me. I have had the credits to graduate for 2 or three years I don't remember how long but I was tired of paying it. Well I finally broke down and paid it again just so I could get my degree. I have it now and I will not pay again.

Part 6 (Down side of the year)

Somewhere in during these last few events I did have a couple things go wrong. While working at Bassett furniture I was delivering a 370 lb Armoire to a customer. Well things did not go to plan. I was unable to get a handle on it and it fell on my pinky finger. It smashed my finger badly enough that it split it 3 ways. I had to get a lot of stitches (I don't remember the exact number it was 8 or 12) and I lost feeling in the top digit of my finger. None of the pictures turned out but I did record a video of my finger to show how bad it was unfortunately I am having problems putting it on the computer at the moment. Even though my finger as healed I still have a huge scar (For a pinky finger that is) and I still do not have full feeling in my finger.

I also found out that I am lactose intolerant. Which for anybody who knows me is really funny because milk was all that I ever drank. I am now reduced to 1 glass of milk a week preceded by a couple of pills to reduce the effect it will have on me. This has been extremely hard and I admit I will think about what I have to do the next day and if I don't have anything important I will overdose on milk and just not move the next day.

The only good thing about being lactose intolerant is that if Rene' doesn't think I have enough sympathy for her morning sickness then she can always slip milk in my food and then we can be sick together.

Part 5B (California (Disneyland))

Here is some of the pictures of our trip to Disneyland. It was decorated for Halloween hence the masked mickey made out of pumpkins.
Rene' and I really worked the system at Disneyland because we were able to go on a lot of rides I don't remember the exact number but it was in the high 20's low 30's in one day. And that was with us going really slow the last half of the day and with us watching several of the shows. One of our favorite parts though was going on Thunder mountain. In the first hour of being in Disneyland we went on space mountain and then on Thunder mountain 5 times.
Nothing like seeing a picture of a fat man in a little car.
Rene' and I had a lot of fun we were very glad we went when we did because it will be a long time before we will be able to go with just to two of us again. We are looking forward to taking our kids and experiencing it with them.

Part 5A (California (Midevil times))

Sometime in September Rene' called me and asked if I wanted to goto Disneyland. We had been talking about going in December but we were also trying to get pregnant. We realized that if she got pregnant before we went it would not much fun because she would be unable to go on any rides. So we did an impulse decision based on a thought out idea. So we bought the tickets (Through the gracious help from Rene's parents we were able to get them cheap) we also bought some tickets for Midevil times. I must say I had a blast we loved it.
For those of you who don't know what midevil times is. it is exactly what the pictures look like. You are assigned a color and a place to sit you then get to cheer for your knight. They will do an entire tournament for your entertainment. Dinner is a old fashioned dinner with which you have to eat with your hands. It was a lot of fun and we will probably go back everytime we go to Disney land.

Part 3 (Las Vegas)

The third major part of our year last year was when Rene', Mother, Father, Becky, and I went to Las Vegas to go to the woodworkers conference. I really enjoyed it and even though we spent 3 day's there I still did not see everything, it was so big. I am already planing on going to the next one so that I can keep updated and current on all of the new stuff.
Unfortunately I can not find any pictures of the conference I am sure I took some but I don't know where they are. So you probably already saw these on my mothers blog but she was nice enough to let me use them too.
And of course we had to go on the star trek rides. For those trekkies in the family so far in Rene's pregnancy she is constantly sneezing. Because of this I call her a pregnant Bajoran.

Part 2 (Hogle Zoo)

Since we have been married I have been wanting to go to the zoo. I don't know why but I really wanted to go. So Rene' and I finally went and I must say I really enjoyed it.
Rene' really liked the penguins. They kept huddling in a corner so one of the workers would coax them out so we could see.We were able to catch most of the shows that they do there. Our favorites were the elephant and the bird shows.

Part 1 (Martins Cove)

Sometime in May 2007 Rene' and I went to Martins cove with Rene's father Barry.
With this trip under our belt, Rene' and I have now been to pretty much every major church site since we have been married. Although it was fun and spiritual, I do have to disagree with everybody there and say that it is not the most spiritual place I have ever been. Everybody you talk to goes on and on about how it is the best place to feel the spirit and that you will never feel it stronger anywhere else. Well like I said I disagree, not counting the Temples, I would have to say that I could feel the spirit much stronger at the sacred grove.

A year in review

I have decided that it is hard to make blog posts often when you don't have cute kids to put on the blog. My hat goes off to Becky for her continual posts. When thinking of what to put on here I realized that Rene' and I had quite a busy year last year so the next couple of blogs will be our year in review
